ZADIM | Project Showcase: Light and Shadow in Tension – An Offering to the Elite

Grace and elegance,

the joy of refined luxury.

Life itself is beautiful and abundant.
Home wraps life in a gentle embrace,
transcending time, space, and culture.

This villa is located in Lishui, Zhejiang. The overall interior design exudes a contemporary, modern flair. Upon entering, one is immediately struck by the extensive use of marble – coffee tables, columns, and a striking marble feature wall that also serves as a spatial divider between inside and outside.

The mutual nourishment between people and space begins with the vitality of life. Potted plants are dotted throughout the interior, bringing nature into every glance. Over time, the body and mind sense the changing seasons, and life quietly settles into its rhythm.

Compared with the ostentatious luxury and complexity once favoured, today‘s urban elite are gravitating toward comfort, simplicity, and efficiency. It is with this in mind that the villa owner chose to install a ZADIM 8100 series home lift in the centre of the staircase.

Stepping into the lift, the scene shifts. Every journey feels like a montage – different frames, different colours, each evoking a distinct emotional register.

If the ground floor is about calm and gracious socialising, then the basement is a space of unrestrained conviviality. A shaft of daylight streams in, staging a classic interplay of light and shadow, wine and tea – all woven together within the same space. With friends gathered, glasses clinking, the experience rivals that of a luxury hotel – a true hallmark of refined social standing.

The villa also features a private, pure‑enjoyment cinema room, where linear lighting enhances the spatial depth. Every ride down to this space becomes a moment of total release – for both body and mind.

Taking light as a key design element, the space is shaped and redefined by its amplification, allowing one to enjoy life with greater ease.

The villa owner has always pursued “more personal expression and a more natural way of living.” Every window acts as a picture frame, bringing stunning views into the interior and enabling a daily dialogue between human and nature.

Metal grilles and decorative vases, with their distinctive artistic forms, act as natural spatial dividers – independent yet tasteful, preserving both privacy and a sense of openness.

The villa design is driven by functional purpose, yet aesthetic consideration remains central to the contemporary family‘s mindset. The ZADIM Z8000 home lift is partially concealed behind the grilles. Its Polar White aluminium alloy frame and glass shaft, illuminated by light, stand out gracefully without being obtrusive.

In the Chinese way of life, dining culture embodies sharing and togetherness. For this reason, the villa owner chose to locate the kitchen and dining area on the lower ground floor.

ZADIM Sweden, with just about 1 square metre of space, connects people emotionally. Every ride down is guided by warm lighting that draws family members closer together.

The custom round dining table is understated yet elegant, shortening the distance between those facing each other, allowing affection to flow gently among family and friends.

As night falls, beneath the shimmering stars, the mood gradually calms with each upward journey. The bedroom, finished in beige tones, is a serene and timeless sanctuary.
